About Our Office:

California's Central Valley is one of the fastest-growing areas in the state and is home to the state's capital, Sacramento. The population of Sacramento and surrounding counties is projected to double by the year 2020. With the influx of major real estate and industrial development, the area has faced an increasing demand for natural resources and energy. Stoel Rives' Sacramento office is poised to provide counsel on issues that affect this rapidly-changing community: water law, environmental and natural resources, regulatory permitting, land use, renewable energy and energy facility siting, and title insurance. Our office regularly assists clients with issues involving water rights, water transfers and supply infrastructure. We also advise our industrial and agricultural clients in the areas of storm water, industrial waste and point-source discharges, total maximum daily loads, and regulatory enforcement. Our Sacramento attorneys handle administrative and regulatory proceedings, as well as litigation, in each of these areas.

Sacramento has emerged as a cosmopolitan state capital that retains its unique Gold Rush history. The University of California at Davis, home to one of the nation's top agriculture programs and public research universities, is located nearby.
