Overview

Tyler Runsten is an associate in Stoel Rives’ Corporate group focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and finance. Tyler has experience counselling clients in a variety of debt finance and capital markets transactions in addition to other general corporate matters. He has advised and assisted clients in a variety of industries including renewable energy and manufacturing.

Before joining Stoel Rives, Tyler was an associate (2022), law clerk (2021) and summer associate (2020) with Latham & Watkins, LLP; a law clerk with the Environmental Defense Center (2020); and an extern to the Honorable William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Experience

  • Representation of Pivot Energy in connection with its acquisition of SGC Power, a Maryland-based community solar developer.
  • Counsel to Reed College in completing an issuance of $125 million of taxable fixed rate bonds in order to refinance the college’s existing indebtedness, allow the termination of certain swap liabilities, and provide funding for general corporate purposes of the college.
  • Representation of Turtle Island Foods, SPC, dba Tofurky, owner of the plant-based Tofurky and Moocho brands that manufactures and markets products in the U.S., on its sale to Morinaga Nutritional Foods, Inc., a subsidiary of Tokyo-based food conglomerate Morinaga Milk Industry Co., Ltd.
