Jenny Palmer is a litigation partner at Stoel Rives. She skillfully defends employers against a spectrum of claims including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, and wrongful termination. Jenny also extends her legal acumen to general commercial litigation, assisting clients in navigating business disputes like breach of contract and fraud claims.

Jenny’s practice encompasses a wide range of industries, including technology, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, and retail, where she represents employers. She has a proven track record in both state and federal courts, successfully defending clients in numerous bench and jury trials, and in appellate matters. Additionally, Jenny is skilled in representing employers in administrative discrimination cases, providing strategic guidance at every step. Her expertise also extends to conducting internal investigations for companies and boards, effectively managing a spectrum of employment-related issues. Practical and strategic, Jenny offers her clients straightforward, usable guidance to navigate any employment-related concerns that may arise.

In addition to her employment and civil defense practice, Jenny represents guardians ad litem in child protection cases in the Idaho State Court. She also serves on the board of directors of LED, a nonprofit organization creating innovative and accessible artistic experiences in Boise.

  • Defended client in federal court in a case involving sex discrimination and retaliation claims. Secured dismissal of all claims and blocked plaintiff’s attempts to amend complaint.
  • Secured summary judgment in state court on claim for wrongful termination in violation of public policy.
  • Secured dismissal of race and religious discrimination claims in federal court on timeliness grounds.
  • Secured dismissal of gender-based discrimination, harassment, and retaliation lawsuit in federal court.
  • Secured dismissal of complaint brought against medical provider for alleged civil rights violations.
  • Secured summary judgment for client facing breach of contract, promissory estoppel, and Idaho Consumer Protection Act claims.
  • Secured summary judgment for client facing race and national origin discrimination claims.
  • Represented multiple clients through bench and jury trials on commercial and employment claims.
  • Routinely defends clients against charges of discrimination and retaliation before the Idaho Human Rights Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
