Overview
David Levant is senior counsel to the Corporate group and a former managing partner of the firm’s Seattle office. He has a broad credit finance and bankruptcy practice that ranges from the representation of borrowers in revolving credit, term loans, structured financing, and securitization transactions to assisting lenders in workouts, loan enforcement, and bankruptcy proceedings. He regularly represents purchasers of assets in bankruptcy auctions under Section 363. David also is active in the firm’s opinion practice, with a particular focus on opinions in the bankruptcy context, including nonconsolidation, true sale, fraudulent transfer, and preference opinion letters.

- U.S. Bancorp Mortgage Co. v. Bonner Mall Partnership, 2 F.3d 899 (9th Cir. 1993). Successfully petitioned the Court to review the Ninth Circuit’s decision.
