Nicole Hancock Discusses Potential Business Benefits of Idaho's New Alcohol Sampling Law

Article

Partner Nicole Hancock authored an article in the Idaho Business Review titled “New Idaho alcohol sampling law is good for business.” In the article, Hancock discusses how recent changes to Idaho laws on the sale of alcohol could help Idaho businesses increase their share of the almost $200 billion U.S. alcoholic beverage market.

The changes will allow distillers to provide samples of their products to visitors at their manufacturing facilities, mirroring a brewery sampling bill also passed in 2014 that allows brewers to provide samples at establishments such as grocery stores that do not have a “beer by the glass” license. Local Idaho distillers and brewers hope to use this expanded ability to market their products to grow their market share and create jobs in Idaho.
